Paper Art City: Make Paper Airplanes & Boats
Fun, easy, step-by-step paper folding crafts for kids and adults. All you need is a sheet of paper!
How to Make a Paper Airplane
Crease a piece of letter-sized paper in half lengthwise. Get a piece of printer paper (rectangle), lay it flat, fold in half lengthwise, crease, then unfold.
Bring the top corners toward the center crease. Fold one top corner to the center crease to form a triangle, press, then repeat with the other top corner.
Fold the angled top edges toward the crease again. Grab the new top corner on each side and fold to the center, creating a long triangle shape.
Fold the paper along the centerline. Use the first crease to fold the airplane in half, hiding the triangles inside. Crease firmly.

Crease the angled side toward the center fold to create the wings. Fold one side, then flip and repeat. Unfold slightly so the plane is flat on top.
How to Make a Paper Boat
Start with a letter-sized or A4 sheet. Fold it in half downwards.

Fold in half again to mark the center (just pinch the middle, no need to crease fully).
Bring corners to the center so you get a triangle shape with a rectangle underneath.

Fold the rectangle part under the triangle upwards. Flip and repeat on the other side.
Grab the center of the triangle shape and pull both sides outward, flattening to form a square.
You’ll get a square shape after flattening.
Fold the front layer up. Flip the origami and do the same with the back layer to form a triangle.
Pull the sides outwards to form a square shape – your boat is complete!
