 This Story Will Change You

This is the story of Prince Gogoi who was born in Assam. Prince Gogoi ji does not have both hands to live.

But she did not give up in her life and today she works in a private hostel.

"Some people ignore children like us. Some people used to say about me that one should not see a limbless person in the morning. I have seen many such troubles in life, but I did not give up. God forgot to make both my hands But I have never been discouraged. I have learned to do all the work with my feet." When 21-year-old Princy Gogoi says these things, her eyes sparkle with unwavering faith.

Born on July 12, 1999 in Sonari, a small town in Assam, Princi has no hands since birth. Unlike normal children, Princy has gone through many difficulties, but did not allow physical disability to hinder her progress. At present, this girl without hands is working as a front desk executive in a private hospital in Guwahati and is supporting her household expenses.

Princy has four sisters and a younger brother. He has two sisters older than him. Except him, till date no child in the family has been born handicapped. Princy is sad that the mindset of some people towards disabled children has not changed even today.

She says, "When I was born, people started talking in the hospital itself. Mother has told me everything. They consider such a child inauspicious. My mother has suffered a lot. People around They didn't even talk. She didn't go to any wedding or meeting. People used to say why did you give birth to such a girl."

She says, "I was denied admission in class five in a government school in my village just because I do not have both hands. A school teacher refused to admit me in his school, calling me mentally challenged. But it is said that when one door closes, God opens another. Later, with the help of a person from our village, I got admission in a private school and from there I passed 10th. Like it doesn't happen. Some such people have also met in life, with whose help a lot has changed today."

In medical science, children born without arms and legs are called Tetro Amelia syndrome, which is considered a genetic disease. The parents of such children or any of their generations have genes for this disease. It is said that after many generations, they emerge in front of a child. Although such cases are one in a million. Princy's mother Ranju Gogoi considers this daughter as her most special child.

Princy has passed 12th class in art stream by writing with feet and she is pursuing further graduation from Krishna Kanta Handic State Open University, Guwahati.

We get to learn a lot from the life of Prince Gogoi, we should not give up.
